Mohammad Azeem Khan

Mohammad Azeem Khan is an alumnus with honors of the University of Arizona. Informed by his background as a second generation Pakistani Muslim-American, he studies the politics of authoritarianism, the dynamics of contentious politics, and Muslim history in South Asia. His latest research projects include an analysis of personality cults in East Asia during the 20th century and a study of Persianate-Islamic kingship during the formation of the Timurid-Mughal Empire in North India. Professionally, Mohammad Azeem was part of the Carnegie Endowment of International Peace's inaugural cohort of interns, where he researched Indian politics as part of the South Asia program.
