Luke Hanno

My name is Luke Hanno. I studied International Business and Arabic at the University of Maryland. 
From an early age, I have always had a keen interest in learning about different cultures, languages, and international affairs. When I arrived at the University of Maryland and majored in international business, I knew that my future success depended on my ability to understand and connect with people from around the world. I believe that one of the best ways to do so is through language study. After careful consideration, I concentrated on Arabic because of my love for Middle Eastern history and culture.  Flagship has benefited me in innumerous ways throughout my academic journey. From the cultural activities and the extra tutoring that I received back at my home intuition, to the quality of education that I currently receive during my capstone year abroad, Flagship has accelerated and enriched the language learning process, enabling me to reach levels in Arabic that would have otherwise been unattainable.
