Benjamin Tomas Morgan

My name is Ben Tomas Morgan. I am a recent graduate of Indiana University where I double majored in Middle Eastern Language and Cultures with a concentration in Arabic Language as well as International Law and Institutions, with a minor in geography. This year, I am continuing my Arabic language studies through my participation in the Arabic Flagship program in Meknes Morocco. I was originally inspired to learn Arabic thanks to a trip to Jordan to visit my sister who was studying there at the time. Since then, I have further developed my interest in the language and the region through class discussions of historical, political, and social topics. Although I have only begun my capstone experience, I have already benefited immensely from the expertise of the professors and the experience of living and learning simultaneously in the Arabic language and Moroccan dialect. It is my hope to use this capstone year as a catalyst for a future career working to strengthen political and social bonds between communities in the Middle East and the United States.
