Amaya Moody

My name is Amaya Moody, and I am a student at the University of Maryland College Park. I am studying Arabic Studies and minoring in Second Language Education. I am studying Arabic because of my love for culture. After taking a trip to Oman and UAE I knew I wanted to continue studying the language. After completing my capstone year, I hope to become a translator/interpreter or teach English in an Arabic-speaking country. The flagship program has helped me learn many different dialects from Egyptian, Moroccan, and Jordanian dialects. It has also helped me learn more about Arab culture through studying abroad in Jordan, summer institute, and cultural activities.
