I recently graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. I am currently working on completing a B.A. in Arabic. I chose to study Arabic for a couple of reasons. First, I love to travel, and I would really love to see more of the Middle East in the future, a place where knowing Arabic can very much help with communicating with locals and with getting around. Second, I plan on joining the Peace Corps in future, and eventually beginning a career in diplomacy, fields where Arabic is currently in high demand.  I chose to apply and participate in the Arabic Flagship Program to improve my Arabic skills in all its facets: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. This program offers full immersion (both linguistic and cultural) and exceptional Arabic classes with professors who genuinely care about their students and their progress. My time here in Meknes, Morocco has really helped me develop my linguistic capabilities, my character, and has expanded my horizons in so many ways.
